Continuous Reactor Temperature Control with Optimized PID Parameters Based on Improved Sparrow Algorithm

To address the problems of strong coupling and large hysteresis in temperature control a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) process, an improved sparrow search algorithm (ISSA) is proposed to optimize PID parameters. The improvement aims solve population diversity reduction easy-to-fall-into local optimal solutions when traditional close global optimum. This differs from other algorithms by adding new Gauss Cauchy mutation strategy at end each iteration without increasing time complexity algorithm. By introducing tent mapping initialize population, ability are improved; golden partition coefficient introduced explorer position update process expand space balance relationship between exploitation; used enhance minimum value jumping out Compared with four existing classical algorithms, ISSA has convergence speed, jump combined design ISSA-PID controller, which simulated on continuous model identified modeling. results show that method improves transient steady-state performance good accuracy robustness. Finally, applied semi-physical experimental platform verify its feasibility.
